SERIOUSLY RARE example of a Ruger 10-22 Semi-Automatic Sporting Rifle in .22 WMR Winchester Magnum Rimfire. ALWAYS seem to be extremely sought after to the degree it always amazes me why they stopped production.
17 ½” (455mm) Barrel already Screw Cut at a standard ½”x20 UNF thread. Ready to accept whatever sound moderator you might wish to choose. I generally have good stock of pre-used options or can order in new specifically if required / preferred. Stock pull is at 13 ½” (343mm) to the shortest point on the concave butt. Overall length measures to compact 36 ¼” (920mm) and weighs in at only 6 Lbs 5 ½ oz. (2.878 Kg).
The Beech Stock with more than its fair share of Grain Pattern and Colour considering the timber. Beech is never that well patterned unless ¼ cut. Do that and it would work out more expensive than Walnut! The Forend Clamp comes complete with the correct after-market Sling Swivel point. Supplied with a 15 round Ruger BX-15 magazine which ARE still available to purchase brand new. I may well have another pre-used in stock too but would need to check.
As such that gives you 15 rounds at that level of performance just as fast as you can squeeze the trigger. Not that a single well placed shot would not do the job on anything suitable for the round. However, the potential this calibre offers in any of the semi-automatic rifles its available in is IMMENSE.
The rifle does have a few marks and blemishes but nothing particularly bad / worse than superficial. That including a few marks to the barrel just forward of the forend at the bottom. Most likely from being rested on stone walls or similar. It would EASILY re-finish with a home re-blueing kit but NOTHING stopping it being used exactly as it is now. In reality this IS a working tool for longer range pest and vermin control of smaller quarry species. Also what many went back to after trying .17 R/F options. Equally given as rare as they are you may wish to do a complete refurbishment and return it to as new. The choice is there for either.
