27 5/8” (702mm) fixed choke barrels at a loose ½ and Full restriction. 14 3/8” (365mm) length of pull stock, finishing at 43 ½” (1174mm) overall. The gun weighs in at a very lightweight 5 Lbs 11 1/2oz (2.587 Kg).
SCARCE and CERTAINLY something VERY different. Always well sought after these guns always make good money if, as and when they ever turn up. The action opens with a Spring Loaded Sliding Breach operated by the double grip top lever. Pull this up to unlock and the entire top half slides straight back. The gun is an ejector with 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers. The comes with manual safety which is the small lever showing to the left side. It rotates forward to fire and back for safe. A well figured stock with rounded half Prince of Wales grip and retains the original makers butt plate. The barrels with multiple proof stamps and also detailed as a TYPE 10.
I assume this relates to the guns specification rating and realistically will be known as a ‘V10’ model.
From research the higher the number the higher the type and finish relating to engraving etc. on the action. These come with a top rib only. This concave and sunken with a single front sight bead and the forend finishes with a horn tip. The original sling swivels are still in place too.
