BSA CENTURY .22 RIM FIRE BOLT ACTION TARGET RIFLE.
Dedicated, currently Single Shot, Bolt Action Century Target Rifle from BSA, Birmingham, England.
No scope mount options at all and this was, apparently, purchased basically exactly as it appears and remains. Bought by the man’s father brand new, passed on to him and he has now retired from shooting. Eyes and desire just not up to the challenges our local licensing department present!
A great shame really. However, it DOES open up opportunity for a new owner. What I will say is this: If its been held onto since brand new it MUST have something worthwhile holding on to!
26″ (660mm) Semi-Heavy weight Barrel set to a relatively short 12 3/4″ (325mm) Trigger pull length. Overall, the rifle measures a straight 43″ (1093mm) and, exactly as pictured, with all accessories weighs in at 8 Lb 2 oz. (3.675 Kg).
Considering the age this is in Excellent Overall condition. A Nice Dark Straight Grained Stripe Pattern to both sides. As detailed, the rifle is currently fitted with its Single Shot Magazine in-fill / blank. Given the current resurgence of people wanting to partake in Vintage ‘Sporting’ Rim-Fire Competitions and similar disciplines. This comes supplied as pictured with everything showing and detailed supplied. All ready to basically take out and start shooting. It may well not even need adjustment and be set perfectly to zero now.

Mid-For-End Second Sling Stud point swivel.

The Original Screw Cap Element Holder currently fitted to the base of the grip.
The 10 Round Capacity (again) Original Parker Hale Model O.L.6 Aluminium Ammunition Holder, already fitted to the R/H side.

I WILL ALSO INCLUDE A RARE 5 ROUND MAGAZINE IN WITH THE RIFLE TOO IF WANTED. NOT EASY TO FIND THESE DAYS.
NOW, while I appreciate this is not particularly cheap for one of these rifles it DOES come with basically every last little bit needed. It also HAS history to back it up. Considering it is 2025 it’s NOT actually a lot of money in real terms. Yes, you will be able to find / buy others within this budget. If you are not happy considering this then by all means choose something else. Plenty more in stock to look through and choose from.
