Absolutely CRACKING example of this Older Vintage .22 Rimfire Deluxe Match Target Rifle from Carl Walther. Right Handed Thumbhole Maple Walnut Stock. Complete with double provision for the thumb to fit through from right to left or rest up over. Directly in line with the back of the bolt. Its basically whichever position works for you to achieve the best score possible. With even light pressure in the vertical hole it locks your entire hand and as such trigger finger. Exactly wherever is best for your accuracy.
As said, this is a lighter colour than usual for European / Turkish Walnut so very possibly Maple.
Fitted with micro-adjustable for height cheek rest. Also multi adjustable Butt for height and length as well as vertical twist. It also offers lateral movement across! As such can be set up to fit YOU PERFECTLY. Yes, the original Steel Butt Hook is missing (as so many end up). However, given this is literally a piece of 3/8” (10mm) Steel Rod its an easy enough job to sort. The grub screw to hold it in place is still there so even easier to do.
Also missing is the Side / Palm Rest. Apart from these I do have plenty of other Target Shooting Accessories in stock and ready to add. These include full Target Dioptre sights with matching Front Element Holders etc. Bench Rest Bipods, Various Front Elements along with holders, Eyepieces, straps, hand stops, sling fixings and more.
The Forend also features the usual Flush inlet Accessory Rail. However, please note this is accessory specific as slightly different from the usual Anschutz profile.
25 ½” (647mm) Heavy weight Target / Match Grade Barrel finished with the usual ‘Radial’ Crown Decorative feature. Pull, as per images, currently measures to 13 ¼” (335mm) but as detailed IS Fully Adjustable longer or shorter. Again, as pictured the overall length comes to 43 ½” (1105mm). Its also something of a BEAST. Bear weight tips the scales at 11 Lbs 5 ½ oz (5.14 kg). Hopefully its not too long a walk from the car to the firing point!
There is also a purpose made Aluminium Cleaning Bore Guide included along with a Hard Carry / Transit Case. I have little to zero doubt this rifle will shoot ever bit as well as a modern day option from ANY maker. Even those at 4x and more of an asking price. This is still more capable than the vast majority who shoot a rifle.
